The John Locke Foundation’s administrative staff oversees the organization’s management, accounting, financial reporting, development, human resources, office operations, and programs for donors. This includes the quarterly Locke Letter update.

The John Locke Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, nonpartisan think tank supported entirely from voluntary, tax-deductible contributions. JLF does not accept government funds. It has received support from thousands of individuals, businesses, and foundations. JLF raises money through formal grant applications and proposals, meetings and receptions, and campaigns conducted through mailings, paid advertising, and online appeals.

An equal-opportunity employer, JLF welcomes applications for its regular internship program, as well as job openings posted in Carolina Journal and other print and online media. It often contracts for research expertise, publication design and printing, events management, and other functions. The most important assets available to the Foundation are its people – directors, officers, employees, contractors, advisers, volunteers, and financial contributors. They are all highly valued members of the JLF team.
