In commemorating the constitutional convention’s September 1787 vote in Philadelphia to endorse the U.S. Constitution, Professor John Dinan of Wake Forest University will examine recent cases and controversies concerning the U.S. Constitution and North Carolina Constitution and discuss various ways that the outcome of the 2016 elections will influence interpretation of these documents and hold implications for individual rights, federalism, and separation of powers.

Shaftesbury presentations are free and open to the public. Lunch is not available for purchase at the presentation. You are welcome to bring your own lunch and enjoy it during the presentation.
