Another French outrage

Posted by Jon Ham at 08:44 AM

On Thursday officials of the Tour de France tested all 189 riders for banned substances. Then, yesterday, as Lance Armstrong is relaxing in the garden of his hotel the French government's ministry of sport's dope testers not the race's drug testers, mind you storm in and demand that he come to his team trailer and give another sample. Just him. No other rider. No other team. What's the French word for petty?

UPDATE: French authorities are denying involvement in the surprise drug test of Armstrong. Looks like there are so many bureaucratic agencies in France that no one can tell who was behind it. Then again, maybe it's just sloppy reporting.
