Edwin M. Thomas, CLU, is a Wealth Management Company (WMC) Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual in Charlotte.  Born in Greenville, NC and raised in Durham, Edwin spent several years exploring the west after graduating from Davidson College living in such places as Telluride, CO, and Seattle, WA.  He then moved back to The Old North State where Mr. Thomas enjoyed a successful career in real estate as a commercial broker and developer.  Transitioning from real estate, Edwin opened a financial planning practice in 2009 and has been an Advisor with Northwestern Mutual ever since.

Mr. Thomas serves on the board of two charitable foundations.  He is the current President of the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, which offers financial aid to Charlotte organizations helping those in need of medical care, nutrition, and housing.  Edwin is also the Executive Vice President of the E.A. Morris Charitable Foundation, which continues the tradition of its namesake in supporting institutions that promote civil liberties, higher education, and Christian values.  He is a former Senior Warden of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter.  Edwin enjoys all kinds of outdoor recreation, live music, and spending time with family.  He has a son and daughter studying, working hard, and playing in the mountains of Boone, NC.
