How to Support the Foundation:
The John Locke Foundation, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, does not accept nor seek government funding. It relies solely on the generous support from individuals, corporations, small businesses, and foundations. While any donation is welcome, the Foundation does offer several "categories" of support, each with its own level of benefits.
Support Levels:
Student Patron ($25):
Receive all "Patron's Circle" category benefits described below. For undergraduate and graduate students who contribute $25 per year.
Patron's Circle ($100 - $499):
- Carolina Journal, our monthly newspaper
- Carolina Journal Daily Update, our electronic newsletter
- Locke Letter, our quarterly newsletter
- Membership in a regional Freedom Club as a Bronze or Silver Member with attendant benefits
Benefactor's Circle ($500 - $999):
- All benefits as listed above in addition to:
- Membership in a regional Freedom Club as a Gold Member with attendee benefits
- Invitations to conferences, workshops, special events, and policy briefings
- President John Hood's columns appearing weekly in selected North Carolina newspapers
- E-communications with links to our Spotlights, Policy Reports, Regional Briefs and other specialized reports
President's Circle ($1,000 - $2,499):
- All benefits as listed above in addition to:
- Membership in a regional Freedom Club as a Platinum Member with attendee benefits
- John Locke Foundation lapel pin
Chairman's Circle ($2,500 - $4,999):
- All benefits as listed above in addition to:
- Membership in a regional Freedom Club as a Platinum member with attendee benefits
- Invitations to private, intimate gatherings with scholars and policymakers
- All John Locke Foundation special publications
Trustee's Circle ($5,000 or more):
- All benefits listed above in addition to:
- Invitations to dinners with VIPs and board members
- Invitations to teleconference discussions on upcoming research
- Priority communication with the President and Chairman of the Board
