Missouri’s Department of Transportation has a Funding Allocation Challenge
for residents to choose how to spend money on roads, planes, trains,
buses, and bikes. The state spends most of its money to maintain
existing roads or build new ones. Most people who have played the game
have a more equal distribution of funds. If you put money in a
category, then remove it, the game offers reasons to keep spending the
money (a nice realistic touch).

Seeing the average of responses, it becomes clear why the NC gas tax won’t change and our roads will continue to get worse.

You might need a Missouri ZIP code to play. Find one here.
