NC Legislators in the Classroom: April 18-22
North Carolina’s 2015 Wells Fargo Principal of the Year Steve Lassiter and 2015 Burroughs Wellcome Fund Teacher of the Year Keana Triplett have united in a statewide campaign to bridge the divide between the classroom and the legislative building.
At the encouragement of legislators, they are holding a “NC Legislators in the Classroom” and ask that teachers and principals invite their representatives into their classrooms and schools for a day the week of April 18-22. A number of 2015 Regional Principals of the Year and 2015 Regional Teachers of the Year already have invited their representatives and encourage others to follow their lead. Steve and Keana hope this will become an annual event so legislators and educators can share perspectives and become a united force for North Carolina public schools.
