The national economic misery continues. Gallup reports that the “underemployment” rate in this country is a staggering 17.4%.

“Underemployed” respondents, as defined by Gallup, are employed part time, but want to work full time, or they are unemployed.

Here in North Carolina, the legislature and governor are pushing ahead to make our state more attractive to business and more just and fair for hard-working people. Tax reform saves taxpayers more than half-a-billion dollars over the two years and makes North Carolina more competitive relative to neighboring states.
