Whole Foods has come under fire for “overcharging customers.” While price theorists choke, it will be pointed out that the CEOs say the errors were random, but the local daily implies pricing only went in the store’s favor. It is further inferred that the labeling of pricing as wrong means produce was not weighed accurately. As always, the CEOs are making everything right with official corrective action, consisting of an apology and enhanced training. They’re going the extra mile, though, and offering for free any item mispriced in the store’s favor.
