Education Next released its 2021 poll this week. As usual, the poll offers tremendous insight into public opinion about public schools and other education matters.
First up: teacher unions.
A majority of teachers (68%) and Democrats (50%) believe that unions have a positive effect. No one else agrees. Remarkably, 20% of Democrats say that teacher unions have a negative effect on schools.
