On Friday, the NC Department of Public Instruction announced that “Sandy Grove Middle (Hoke County Schools) and Wiley International Studies Magnet Elementary (Wake County Schools) were nominated to represent North Carolina in the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools Award Program.”
Today, the John Locke Foundation released a study that found that North Carolina’s “green” schools fail to produce any notable cost savings or environmental benefits.
