Watauga Medics are concerned they are understaffed for the 6.5% increase in calls for service last year.

Commissioners have been reluctant during the poor economy of the last couple of years to provide the significant financial increases that would be necessary to hire another crew of paramedics.

What poor economy???? The commissioners need some education so they know we are in the Great Recovery.

While we’re on the topic of a booming economy, I was out of gas tonight, so I stopped at the gas station. The man at the counter misunderstood me, and charged my card for $3 instead of $30. Not wanting to embarrass him, I went to the next gas station, and saw the last person at the pump had purchased $2.75.

Another sign of a bad economy is when people start using their collectors’ coins in daily purchases. In the few hours of business I do a week, I’m seeing that.
