Last night both the US Senate and the US House voted for H.R. 2775 which ended the government shutdown and raised the debt ceiling.  The Senate vote occurred at 7:33pm and passed the resolution with 83 yeas, 16 nays, and 1 not voting.  The bill then moved to the House and was voted on at 10:18 pm and passed the resolution with 285 yeas, 144 nays, and 3 not voting.  The delegation from North Carolina was not in line with each other on the vote, not even divided by party lines.  Out of 15 total federally elected officials from North Carolina, 9 out of the 15 voted in favor of the resolution.  The breakdown of North Carolina’s vote is:
