Thomas Sowell hits the nail on the head regarding the nation’s infrastructure issues:
Money supposedly set aside for repairing potholes and maintaining bridges is diverted to the building of bicycle paths or subsidizing ferries or buses. These other things have more of a political pay-off.
Gives me the perfect opportunity to mention Greensboro’s proposed mother of a bike path, at a cost of between $20-40 million. Funding to be worked out later.
