Unemployment is up in Buncombe, Henderson, Polk, Transylvania, and 88 other North Carolina counties. We shall rejoice because whether it is up or down, it is a sign that the economy is getting better.(1, 2)
This reminds me of a recent incident where a local pub had to close because a metal act sprayed pig blood all over the place. And if you stop being so impatient, I’ll eventually get around to explaining. It is a good thing, because it created jobs for cleaners; but it is bad because if it created jobs for cleaners, the employment rate would go up, and then the economy would not be doing as well as if it had gone down. In other words, these articles are making as much sense as this carton in the Mountain Xpress.
