Riots Uptown on the 4th of July. The tally is 24 arrests this year, up from 20 last year. And this year’s haul does not include charges for whomever it was who shot someone else in the face, which somehow did not result in serious injury.
Once again trouble erupted around the transit center, so once again we ask if those banks of security cameras actually work or are they there just for show? Once again we are being told the incident(s) are really not a big deal in the grand Uptown scheme of things. Once again we say — don’t you believe it.
