KC Johnson says the agreement between DA Mike Nifong and DNA Security head Brian Meehan to hide exculpatory evidence might constitute a conspiracy:
Nifong knew there were male DNA other than that of the lacrosse players before indicting, and acted anyway — and, in technical terms, he entered into a conspiracy with Meehan to prevent this information from coming to light.
That sure ups the ante. And speaking of Meehan, John in Carolina says things don’t look so great for him either:
Meehan’s ruined professionally and he very likely will face civil suits. But he must have realized that awful as those consequences are, they’re preferable to a perjury conviction.
