A recent column from N.C. History Project Director Troy Kickler on Hugh Williamson, a little-known American founder from Edenton, attracted attention this week from the Tenth Amendment Center, the Imaginative Conservative blog, and the Mike Church radio program. The Legal History Blog and H-Net — Humanities & Social Sciences Online — promoted next week’s N.C. History Project event on the history of President Andrew Johnson’s impeachment. Kickler is a new member of the scholarly advisory board for the Religion in North Carolina Digital Collection. “It’s a collaborative project of Duke University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Wake Forest University that seeks to bring together, preserve, and provide digital access to the primary materials of religious bodies in North Carolina,” Kickler writes.
