A nice little PR piece (at taxpayer expense, of course) is in the works.
The N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources will publish a “coffee-table” type book touting the benefits the agency says it has brought to the state. The only cost so far, according to the N&O, is employee time investments needed to gather entries.
From the article:
The book is intended to serve as a soft-cover attaboy — “an 8-year retrospective,” wrote Rachel Golden Smith, an agency project manager overseeing the book — for the department’s work under the Easley administration.
Perhaps it could be a little stocking stuffer for the governor?
