Glad to see that Tim Carney documents an attempt to strip out very edu-crat sounding language from the GOP platform. This was close to going down the policy-change memory hole.
By chance I happened upon the CSPAN cast of some of the debate yesterday and saw North Carolina’s own Linda Daves make the point that the platform sounded like it was trying to out-Johnson President Johnson.
And that is never a good thing.
