Ever since the onset of the Great Recession, North Carolina policymakers and pundits have been talking about the need for more jobs.
Most of the discussion has focused on government’s role. The Raleigh-based international group Jobs For Life approaches the topic from a different angle. Jobs For Life focuses on the role of churches in helping people find and keep long-term jobs.
Regional director Daniel Alexander discussed Jobs For Life’s work during a presentation today for the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. In the video clip below, he discusses one of the group’s five core pieces.
