The Federal Aviation Administration releases $1 million to cover the update of Piedmont Triad International Airport’s master plan in light of potential residential development alongside the FedEx hub.

I’m not saying it’s bad idea, but it just gives you an idea of the vast amount of money at the federal government’s fingertips. It’s fair to ask, though, which would be the most efficient use of taxpayers’ money. Is the $1 million to update the master plan worth it, or could the federal government save the money and just let the Greensboro city planning staff and city council deal with future requests for residential projects near the airport?

I’m just asking because I don’t know.
