At yesterday’s lacrosse game between Duke and St. John’s, the Duke team lustily sang every word of the National Anthem. You don’t see that much at athletic events. They also played the Canadian anthem in honor of attackman Zack Greer, who was playing his last regular-season home game at Duke. He made the most of it, breaking the NCAA lacrosse scoring record set by NC State’s Stan Cockerton 28 years ago. Cockerton, by the way, was a Canadian, too.
