Those of you who’ve followed this forum’s public policy discussions must have been surprised to read the following in this morning’s News & Observer:

Roundabout has unforeseen costs

The brief article mentions the extra $600,000 added to the price tag for a new Raleigh roundabout. It does not mention some of the other unforeseen costs associated with roundabouts, as described in a 2006 John Locke Foundation report on traffic calming.
