The Journal traveled to Greensboro last night to cover the Guilford County Commissioners’ public hearing on the Heart of the Triad. The High Point Enterprise also leads with the debate, although I don’t know where they got the idea that commissioners could “kill the project” just two weeks after passing a resolution supporting it.

I was able to catch the speakers on Channel 13 before heading out. Basically, HOT steering committee chair and city council candidate Robbie Perkins said HOT would save the environment, while opponents say it will ruin the environment. Geez, who do you believe?

I’ll watch a tape of the meeting to see if there were any interesting insights from commissioners. I was up on the deck at M’Coul’s taking in the beautiful night air.
