Asheville City Council will be expanding the membership of three advisory boards at their next meeting. The purpose is to make them more inclusive. What is not mentioned, and what would only occur to the crazed mind of a paranoid lunatic unfamiliar with public policy, is this appears to be a strategy to alleviate claims of taxation without representation when the city asks for regional partnerships to help with funding. The affected boards are the Civic Center Commission, the Public Art Board, and the renamed Asheville Area Riverfront Redevelopment Commission.
