This almost sounds like an Onion story: The moderator of the Palin-Biden debate Thursday, PBS’s Gwen Ifill, has a pro-Obama book set for release on inauguration day. Do you think she has a financial interest in the outcome of the debate and the presidential race in general? How well will that book sell if it’s John McCain taking the oath of office next January?

In what sane country would a debate moderator with this background be chosen? We already know all the debate moderators will be left-leaning because they’re all journalists, but adding a financial self-interest factor into the mix just makes it more outrageous.

Here’s a thought: When will we quit pumping tax dollars into PBS and NPR, two left-wing organizations with more in common with the left-wing vote-fraud group ACORN than with actual journalism.

A QUESTION: Michelle Malkin asks (emphasis added):

TVNewser reports that Ifill has broken her ankle, but she’s still going to do the debate. But will she disclose her conflict of interest? Inquiring minds want to know.
