I mentioned North Carolina in passing when taking a quick look at Antiplanner’s analysis of the election’s effect on transportation planning.

Now we hear that Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood was in Charlotte yesterday talking abut how North Carolina could now be in the running for fed high-speed rail money since Wisconsin (Scott Walker) and Ohio (John Kasich) both elected rail skeptics governor.

But —imagine this —LaHood was “a little coy about exactly what it means,” according to Charlotte Mayor Anthony foxx.
