Seems to me that folks here in Charlotte should be especially equipped to discount some of the hysterical claims being made about Barack Obama’s victory.
Specifically, just how transformative and revolutionary does Harvey Gantt’s stint as mayor look with a couple decades of perspective? Gantt did not head off “academic genocide,” for example.
