Lotsa confusion here, including if the two guys arrested for having a car full of explosives near numerous U.S. military installations had fireworks or pipe bombs. However, their story is fishy just based on where they were.
Supposedly they started in Florida and were on their way to an unnamed beach in North Carolina. There is no way you end up on SC 176 — the one road that runs right through the middle of a Naval reservation — if that is the case.
Look at a map. You’d have to try very, very hard to get off of I-95 and end up anywhere near Goose Creek. Or be extremely bad at following directions.
