The following bio is that of an event speaker or guest author. This person is not directly affiliated with the John Locke Foundation.

Ashley Sherrill joined the John Locke Foundation in March of 2009, principally as Program Specialist for the E.A. Morris Fellowship for Emerging Leaders. She also serves as program assistant for a variety of other outreach projects, including the Faculty Affiliate Network, the Shaftesbury Society Luncheons, John Locke Foundation headliners, and other special events. As such, Ashley’s role includes communication and support for many diverse programs sponsored by the John Locke Foundation.

Her education and background make Ashley especially well equipped for the tasks at hand. She received her B.A. in Communication Studies from UNC-Charlotte in 2008. While attending UNCC, Ashley received the Distinguished Leaders Medal (2008) for campus and community work, received the Service Leader Award (2007), and earned the Leadership Fellow certificate, also in 2007. She also served as UNCC’s Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority President, among other posts, and now serves as Financial Advisor to a local ZTA chapter. After completing her undergraduate studies and joining Locke, Ashley continued her education in 2009 by completing the certificate in Non-profit Management through the Duke University intensive-track nonprofit management program. Ashley hails from Ellerbee, NC.
