Brenée is the communications manager at the John Locke Foundation. She works with the vice president of communications to facilitate relationships with the media, get the foundation’s works in state and national publications, and to engage Locke’s online audiences.

Before joining the John Locke Foundation, she worked as a fellow at the D.C.-based nonprofit Institute for Justice.

Brenée graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She authored her honors thesis on the politics of Medicaid expansion. While in school, Brenée was a legal research intern, a human resources assistant at UNC School of Law, and an America Counts mathematics tutor.

In her free time, Brenée enjoys kayaking, watching classic films, and playing fetch with her Golden Retriever, Parker.
