Chris West serves as the Development Officer at the John Locke Foundation where he enjoys helping keep his home state free, flourishing, and affordable for all North Carolinians. He is a graduate of Campbell University, Duke University Divinity School, and the Wake Forest certificate in Faith-Based Nonprofit Leadership. He also completed the ABCD Institute at DePaul University and holds a certificate in Transnational Law and Negotiation from the University of Reading, UK.

Previously, Chris has served as the Higher Education Policy Fellow at the James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal and has worked with nonprofit organizations in a variety of roles. He has completed the Generation Liberty Fellowship with the State Policy Network, the EA Morris Fellowship, the Lead Fellowship with America’s Future, and the Religious Liberty Fellowship with the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty. He currently serves as the Southeast Hub Director for America’s Future.

Chris and his wife reside in Raleigh with their dog, Taxi, and are expecting their first child this February.
