Joe Stewart is the Executive Director of the North Carolina FreeEnterprise Foundation (NCFEF), a nonprofit nonpartisan organization that conducts objective research and analysis on candidates, campaigns and voter attitudes to help business leaders – from all industries, and with companies both large and small – better understand the confluence of politics, public policy, and the economic vitality in North Carolina. Joe’s been involved in elections and political advocacy for 30 years. He’s run campaigns, served in senior management positions in state government, been a lobbyist, led a trade association, and done fundraising for candidates and nonprofit organizations in North Carolina, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
