John R. Bradford, III is an accomplished entrepreneur, Founder & CEO and former engineer with deep experience in both the private and public sectors. With a background in professional property management and service at multiple levels of government, John has built a career around solving complex business and regulatory challenges for the rental housing industry and state and local communities.
John was elected to public office six times; serving two terms as Cornelius Town Commissioner and four terms in the North Carolina House of Representatives. During his legislative tenure, he held several key leadership roles including Senior Chairman of the House Finance Committee and Chairman of the Alcohol Beverage Control, Regulatory Reform, and Local Government Committees. He also served as Freshman Majority Whip and Majority Deputy Whip.
An entrepreneur at heart, John is the Founder & CEO of two North Carolina-based companies, Park Avenue Properties and PetScreening. After selling Park Avenue Properties in 2020, he focused his full attention on scaling PetScreening into a nationally recognized brand and industry-leading platform for the rental housing industry. Under his leadership, PetScreening has been named one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States four years in a row and has earned repeated recognition on the Deloitte Fast 500 list. John is proud to have created more than 220 jobs, a majority of them in North Carolina.
John holds a B.S. in Engineering from Clemson University and an Executive MBA from the University of Memphis. He is married, has four children, and enjoys fishing, camping, and traveling with his family alongside their Boykin Spaniel, Berkeley.
