Kathleen Marty is an intern at the John Locke Foundation. Kathleen grew up on her family’s farm in Strasburg, Colorado, which has driven her to strive for a career in agriculture policy. Upon graduating from Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado, Kathleen transferred to North Carolina State University to finish her BS. She is currently a senior majoring in Agricultural Business Management with a minor in Economics. In the past she has interned and served in leadership positions with various farm organizations. This past summer she interned in Washington D.C. as a part of the Jesse Helms Agricultural Legislative Summer Internship Program in Representative David Rouzer’s Office.  In her free time Kathleen enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with her friends.
