William Allen is Locke’s Grassroots Outreach Coordinator. Prior to this position, he was a research intern for the 2022 Spring program and a Government Affairs intern for the 2022 Summer program. He is a former North Carolina law enforcement officer for close to 20 years and served as a U.S. Marine for four years. One of his main passions is the protection of the Second Amendment for all law-abiding citizens. He is also an avid supporter of free and fair elections, supports capitalism and free markets, school safety, and school choice, and is a huge supporter of our law enforcement officers and first responders. William also worked to help reelect former Senator Jesse Helms as a grassroots assistant in 1990.

William is a five-time NC State powerlifting champion, along with several other championships in the sport of powerlifting. He is a Needham Broughton High School graduate in Raleigh, NC, and holds a degree in political science from the Helms School of Government at Liberty University. He will graduate in the Spring of 2023 with a B.S. in Political Science. He has one daughter who is currently attending Liberty University.

When William is not at work, he is usually attending Carolina Hurricanes games with his daughter, working out, reading, or spending time with his family.
