My guess is there are a ton of tickets floating around Uptown hotels this morning — if you only know where to look and have cash money. ACC charter members NC State, Wake Forest, and Maryland all lost to newer conference interlopers.

The most shocking was the Terps blowing an early 15 point lead against a recently hapless BC team. Maryland was playing for a NCAA tourney bid, the Eagles to merely play another day. The fallout is that Clemson should advance to face dook in the semis.

Miami and Virginia Tech are probably both already in the NCAAs but the winner of that game today knows they are in — should be a great game.

Bonus Observation: And how about UNCC? In the A10 tourney, the Niners looked fork-stuck done vs. UMass, falling behind by 18 points and generally playing as if they learned the game last week. Then UMass started doing just enough stupid stuff — like miss FTs and jack 3s — to let Leemire Goldwire shoot the 49ers back into the game.

Goldwire and crew now face a Temple team they split with in the regular season. Hmmmm.
