While last week’s impact report detailed John Locke Foundation participation in tax day Tea Party rallies across North Carolina, information about some media coverage arrived after the report’s publication deadline. In addition to last week’s information, the Elizabeth City Daily Advance (Executive Vice President Kory Swanson), Gaston Gazette (Director of Health and Fiscal Policy Studies Joseph Coletti), Morganton News Herald (Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray), Selma Herald (N.C. History Project Director Troy Kickler), and Shelby Star (Coletti) all reported on JLF participation in Tea Party events. WTVD Television (Director of Research and Local Government Studies Michael Sanera) also mentioned the John Locke Foundation in its coverage of the Tea Party event outside the State Capitol. In addition, Web sites associated with Tea Party groups also noted JLF participation in tax day events. These included events in Elizabeth City (Swanson), Southern Pines (Associate Director of Research Jon Sanders), Whiteville (Director of Education Studies Terry Stoops), and Shelby (Coletti).
