People are rallying (1, 2, 3), and I am supposed to believe the demonstrations are grass-roots uprisings. I am supposed to believe all participants, though thoroughly versed in the psychology of mass hysterics, are immune to changes in brain chemistry typically stimulated by spectacle. Worst of all, I’m supposed to believe all these people believe strategies designed for long-term humanistic growth are inferior to wealth transfers to organized pressure groups, in the name of their willing permanent underclassmen.
