On Nov. 12, at Maggie Valley Club an evening of gambling, dining and dancing will be held to raise funds to provide grants for departments at MedWest Haywood. A professional gaming company will offer traditional games of black jack, roulette, craps and Texas hold’em poker with dealers and tables. Players will receive a $10,000 poker chip (no currency value) with their $100 entrance fee.
Gamblers will be awarded prizes including “theme baskets from hospital departments.” (Varicose veins in one? Tonsils in another? Bloody bandages or DIY stints in a third?)
