If you strolled between the General Assembly’s Legislative and Legislative Office buildings at lunchtime, you likely saw a hot air balloon with a message warning of the dangers of “global warming alarmism.”

The balloon is part of Americans for Prosperity North Carolina’s efforts to draw attention to legislative efforts to adopt new taxes, regulations, and restrictions in the name of reducing carbon dioxide emissions. (The John Locke Foundation has issued repeated warnings about these ideas.)
