That’s what CNN says.
This absurd political correctness brings to mind a correction that appeared in The Fresno Bee in 1990:
“An item in Thursday’s Nation Digest about the Massachusetts budget crisis made reference to new taxes that will help put Massachusetts ‘back into the African American.’ That item should have said ‘back in the black.'”
Turns out, though, that this was not politcal correctness run amok but a copy editor making fun of political correctness. Imagine that happening today.
