Listeners to Rush Limbaugh’s show know that media bias is his pet peeve. On Thursday, Limbaugh used a piece by Jon Ham to dig into the issue, reading the entire column about the newspaper industry’s love of government and its inability to change its liberal bias. As he read, Limbaugh mentioned JLF four times and, on Friday, his web site linked to the column. You can read it at the Carolina Journal web site. Click on “Media Mangle,” the April 18 entry. Meanwhile, The Daily Record of Dunn published Ham’s opinion piece about his transition from a 30-year career in the mainstream media (MSM) to the Locke Foundation and the flagship publication, Carolina Journal. “I no longer respected the MSM and was uncomfortable being a part of it,” he explained. Ham added that he looks forward to spreading an understanding of free markets, individual freedom, and limited government, concepts he believes “mainstream journalism not only doesn’t value but doesn’t seem to understand.”
