The arrogance of the Orange County school board, which is dominated by 1960s-style liberals, never ceases to amaze. The latest example: school board member Steve Halkiotis makes his case for — you guessed it, other people’s money — by trashing legislators who have the audacity to deal with fiscal reality. Here’s what he told county commissioners:
“I’m going to thank you in advance because I know you’re going to do the right thing,” said county school board member Steve Halkiotis, a former commissioner. “If we were to cut you open right now, we’d find a heart inside of you and not cold ice water like some of those people sitting in Raleigh.”
Pathetic.
