Davidson County Commissioner Cathy Dunn will host a meeting to plan “a unified stand” against Alcoa’s efforts to get a new 50-year federal license to operate four hydroelectric dams along the Yadkin River.
Guests include state Sens. Stan Bingham and Fletcher Hartsell; Keith Crisco, the state secretary of commerce; and Dean Naujoks, the Yadkin Riverkeeper, whose organization is based in Winston-Salem.
Evidently Erin Brockovich —–and her ‘superior insight’ on the subject —- will sit this one out.
