Gee, things sure have been quiet lately regarding progress on the South Blvd. light rail line. In fact since City Manager-Until-June Pam Syfert promised in October she’d receive weekly updates from CATS on the $467 million project, things have basically gone dark. That is very ominous.

Are we still on track, both time and budget wise? Where stands the big legal dispute with project manager Parsons, the outfit the city loudly and repeatedly blamed for the design foul-ups?

Three months is an awful long time to hear nothing — especially from this bunch.

Oh, CATS did announce the other day that it received a state award for its rail safety campaign — yep, a train that is not yet running is surely very, very safe.
