USA Today
discusses an interesting study today that examines how Americans view
God and how different views of God can shape our political structures.
The study was performed by Baylor University. There is nothing new in
the idea, belief, that we all have different ideas of God and our
relationship with Him. We all see God in different ways that is based
upon our own personal experiences and theological traditions. My pastor
in one of his first sermons this summer talked about how a professor at
his seminary had the students to draw a picture of God and in that
photo he said the professor could tell, regardless of artistic style,
how we view that personal relationship. It’s an interesting, but long,
read and I highly recommend taking a look at the article.
