Roy and all of JLF’s first floor staff are vindicated.  WRAL notes here that Consumer Reports taste testers rank Eight O’Clock Coffee first. Yes, better than Starbucks.  Those of us on the first floor have known that for years. Second floor coffee snobs, wake up and smell the coffee coming from the first floor.

?Our tasters found some boutique coffees, like Starbucks and Peet?s, tasted burnt and bitter,? Klosz said.

Testers found a very good coffee that was among the least expensive ? Eight O?Clock Coffee, priced at $6 a pound.

?It was even good enough to drink black,? Klosz said.
