A British scientist says his climate
simulation program shows global temperatures could rise 11C (52F)
because of greenhouse gases. That would mean summer temperatures in
Raleigh of up to 150 degrees. The really frightening thing is how he
came up with this estimate:
The program, run as a screensaver, simulated what
would happen if carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere were double
those of the 18th century, before the Industrial Revolution, the
situation predicted by the middle of this century.
